Dr. Klett has been an Oculoplastic specialist since 1994. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained surgeon who specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery as it relates to the eye and surrounding structures. After six years in private practice, Dr. Klett assumed the full-time faculty position of Assistant Professor and Director of Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery at the Yale Eye Center from 2001-2007. Dr. Klett maintained his own solo practice in Madison, CT from 2007-2015, and most recently was the full-time Oculoplastic specialist at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center until joining Eye Care of Maine.
Dr. Klett specializes in all aspects of oculoplastic surgery, including corrective, reconstructive and cosmetic eyelid surgery, lacrimal (tear duct) disorders, orbital diseases including Thyroid Eye Disease, and therapeutic and cosmetic Botox injections.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), and the Maine Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
In his spare time Dr. Klett enjoys hiking, bicycling, racquet sports and playing the cello.
